Enquiry numbers and helplines for almost any government service are notoriously inefficient. There is either no one to take the call or the information given is incorrect. Perhaps it was a subconscious recognition of this flaw or the fact that his Railway Budget speech was attracting hecklers from the opposition benches, but Railway Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal mistakenly mentioned the Integrated Train Enquiry Service number as 193 instead of 139.
