V Ponraj, scientific advisor to former president APJ Abdul Kalam has forayed into politics by floating a new party. The new party ‘Abdul Kalam Vision India Party' was floated on Sunday.

Ponraj declared the name of the party and party's flag after paying tributes at Abdul Kalam's memorial in Rameswaram on Sunday.

He told reporters that his party would contest in all the 234 constituencies in the coming assembly polls in Tamil Nadu.

Meanwhile reports quoting Kalam's elder brother APJ Muthumeeran Lebbai Maraicair stated that his late brother was against starting any political outfit and never been interested in politics.
 

Ponraj said, “We are all collectively responsible for this situation today. We have to correct it. I seek your support to establish the rule of Abdul Kalam in Tamil Nadu," he told the gathering.
