The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) adopted two resolutions at its national executive meeting here.
The first, a political resolution, congratulates Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley for ensuring passage of the goods and services tax (GST), and for presenting a ‘pro-poor budget’.
Crediting the PM for the party’s emphatic wins in recent state assembly polls, the resolution said Modi had emerged as the most popular leader in independent India.
