Alleging that development was stalled during the erstwhile BSP regime, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today said his government was trying to put the development agenda back on track.
"Developmental works were stalled during the previous regime... Even if some schemes funded by the World Bank were launched, the pace of implementation was too slow... The SP government is trying to put development back on the track," Yadav said.
The Chief Minister was addressing at a function to launch the second phase of the water sector restructuring project worth Rs 3,090 crore at his residence in the presence of World Bank's country director Onno Ruhl.
Yadav, on the occasion, appreciated and thanked the World Bank for its support to the state for its development.
