Gandhi flays BJP's 'politics of hate' in Rajasthan

The Congress leader shared his pain over the assassinations of his grandmother and father

Addressing a rally at Churu in Rajasthan, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi said that he was against the BJP’s politics because they cause harm for political gains. He said: They stoke fires — in Muzaffarnagar, Gujarat, Kashmir. We have to do the firefighting.”

The Congress leader shared his pain over the assassinations of his grandmother and father.

He said: "I have faced this twice, they killed my grandmother and my father, they might kill me too. But I'm not afraid. I used to play with the men who killed my grandmother," he says and adds that Indira Gandhi's assassins wanted to kill her on Diwali.
 

The 43-year-old also spoke about memories of Indira Gandhi often coming to his rescue against strict parents.
