Rejig: Uttarakhand disappointed

Uttarakhand on Sunday was left high and dry despite Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP's) amiable performance of winning all the five Lok Sabha seats in the hill state in the general elections. The media reports had indicated that Ajay Tamta, a Dalit MP from Pithoragarh might get a ministerial berth from Uttarakhand quota this time. On the state's 14th Foundation Day, a despondency of sorts ran through the BJP camp in the state after the last hope, Tamta was ignored.

Most of the BJP leaders in the state cut sorry figures and didn't take questions on the expansion.
