The CSE-40 index closed at 6196.09 points after opening at 6189.88.

Infosys Technologies lost Rs 1.35 and closed at Rs 2326.

Reliance Industries lost Rs 2.10 after opening at Rs 798.10.

State Bank of India lost Rs 15.05 and closed at Rs 1920.95.

Tata Steel lost Rs 3.50 after opening at Rs 402.50.
