Two girls drown

in river Salandi in Odisha's Bhadrak district today, police sources said.

The girls Sanjukta Behera (12) and Mamina Behera (14) of Mirpur drowned when they went to immerse an idol of goddess, locally known as Khudurukuni, inspector-in-charge of Tihidi police station Sriballav Sahu said.

The villagers fished out the bodies.
