1 arrested for murdering owner of an ashram

One person was arrested in connection with the murder of an ashram owner at Sandila in Hardoi district, the police said today.

Tejbir Singh was arrested by the police last evening.

Circle officer of Hardoi police station Arun Kumar Singh said the accused confessed that he has committed the crime with the help of his two accomplices.

The other accused are still absconding, the police official said.

Dayarani, the owner of an ashram, was murdered on September 3, the police said, adding property dispute could be the reason behind the murder.
