1 killed, 3 injured as rain lashes parts of UP

One person was killed and three others were injured when a temporary roof of their house collapsed during rains and thundershowers which lashed eastern parts of Uttar Pradesh since yesterday.

Rajesh (30) was killed and his wife, mother and two children were injured in the roof collapse in Ram Snehi Ghat area of Barabanki district.

Amount of rainfall received was Mirzapur 16 cm, Chruk 14 cm, Ghorawal 13 cm, Rodertsganj 11 cm, Varanasi 10 cm, Narora, Bareilly and Varansi 9 cm each, Binga 7, Varanasi, Mirzapur, Rae Bareli, Lalganj and Chunar 6 cm each, the MeT Department said.

The MeT Department has forecast rainfall and thundershowers at isolated places and over eastern parts of the state tomorrow.
