One woman was killed and seven others injured allegedly in an explosion in fire crackers stored in a house at a village in Khargupur area of the district, police said today.
Shahrunissa, 22, was killed and seven others injured when crackers stored in the house caught fire resulting in an explosion, Superintendent of Police Anil Kumar Singh said.
The injured were admitted to a local hospital from where two in serious condition were referred to Lucknow for treatment.
Investigations were on in this connection, the SP added.
