10 occultists held for duping people of Rs 2 cr

A group of 10 occultists was today arrested by Sahibabad police for allegedly duping around 500 people of Rs 2 crore.

They would give advertisements in newspapers and claim to have solutions for "all problems". The fraudsters, including two owners of advertising agencies, were running a call centre in Arthla village, SP City Aakash Tomar said.

The arrest was made on the basis of a complaint filed by Mithun Singh with Sahibabad police on May 15.

The arrested persons have been booked under relevant provisions of IPC.
