11 killed in two road accidents in Pakistan

At least 11 people, including six women and a child were killed in two separate road accidents in Pakistan today, police said.

Eight people were killed in Swabi district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after a vehicle plunged into a drain.

Six women and a child were killed in the accident.The ill-fated vehicle fell into the drain in Ghulama area of the district, Geo news quoted police as saying.

In the second accident, three people were killed and five others injured when two motorcycles collided with a van in Multan today.

The motorcycle collided with the van while it tried to avert a collision with a passenger van.
 

The dead and injured were taken to the District Headquarters Hospital and two of them were shifted to Nishtar Hospital in Multan.
