110 kg of charas seized, two persons arrested

Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) arrested two persons involved in narcotics smuggling and seized 110 kg of charas, worth over 2.5 crore in the international market from them in Bareilly district.

Two persons - Tahir and Asif were arrested by the STF on a tip off from Sirasganj area of Bareilly yesterday and 110 kg charas was seized from them, IGP (Law and Order), A Satish Ganesh told reporters here.

The duo were going to deliver the charas to one Mukhtar in Rampur district, he said.

The consignment was worth over Rs 2.5 crore in the international market.
