15-year-old subjected to acid attack in West Bengal.

A 15-year-old girl was today attacked with acid and then stabbed by a man who often stalked her, in South Dinajpur district here, police said.

The incident occured at Sevoke Pally here.

The girl, a resident of a hostel here and a student of Class XII of Ramkrishna Vidya Bhavan, was going for private tuition in the afternoon when she was attacked, police said.

The girl, who was rushed to Raiganj District Hospital, said the man would often stalk her, they said.

The miscreant fled taking advantage of the foggy weather, they added.

The girl's family, which resides in North Dinajpur, lodged an FIR with the Raiganj police station here.
