17-year-old rape victim burnt to death

A 17-year-old minor girl who was allegedly raped a year ago was set ablaze at Ahraula Nawazi village here, police said today.

The family members of the deceased alleged that the girl was raped about an year ago by one Vijay who yesterday along with his friend Rajendra sprinkled kerosene and set her ablaze out of enmity, they said.

She was rushed to the Aligarh Medical College Hospital where she died this morning, circle officer of Gunnaur Pramod Kumar said.

An FIR has been registered and investigations is underway, he said.
