17-yr-old killed in road accident in Kota

A 17-year-old boy was killed today after his motorcycle was hit by a speeding mini bus here, police said today.

The incident took place when the deceased identified as Raghav Gautam was returning from his coaching classes for the IIT, Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police Bharat Kumar said.

Gautam was returning home at around 1.30 pm, when the mini bus hit his scooter near I L flyover, killing him on the spot, the ASI said, adding that the bus driver fled the place after the incident.

The body was handed over to the family members after post-mortem and a case under relevant sections was lodged against the unidentified driver of the mini bus, the ASI said.
