A truck allegedly carrying intoxicant substances was seized today in the outskirts of Jammu district, police said.
A special drive against drugs was launched by police where a Srinagar-bound truck was intercepted for police checking at the Manwal area of the city, a police official said.
According to the official, on seeing the police the driver left the vehicle and fled away from the spot.
During search of the vehicle, the police party recovered 18000 bottles of Maxsoft and Corex, which he was carrying without any permission, he said.
A case has been registered and further investigation is on, he added.
