Two unidentified bikers snatched a bag containing Rs 14 lakhs from employees of a cash collection company this afternoon near Cross River Mall in East Delhi, police said.

According to the police, the incident took place at around 1.00 pm when two employees of CNS - a cash collection company - collected cash from Haldiram's snack counter and were walking towards their van that was parked outside the mall when two other people who were following them beat them up, snatched the bag from them and fled on their bikes, said Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Dinesh Kumar Gupta.

CNS collects cash from various companies under security and deposits it in various banks. Police said it appears that the robbers had prior information about their movement and they lay in wait of the employees to come out with the cash.

Haldiram's employees and CNS employees are being questioned in the case. "We are also investigating the movement of the CNS employees who were on duty to take the cash from Halrdiram's outlet", said Gupta.
