2 children drown in pond in UP

Two children today drowned while taking bath in a pond in Allapur area here, an official said.

Danish (13) and Arbaaz (12) drowned this afternoon while five children were rescued by the villagers from the pond in Ulauria village, Sub-divisional Magistrate O P Tiwari said.

One minor Tariq (7) was stated to be serious, he said, adding the bodies have been sent for the postmortem.
