2 drug peddlers arrested, 5.40 grams of heroin seized

Two people were arrested today on charges of drug peddling and 5.40 grams of heroin worth Rs 5 lakh was seized from their possession in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said.

Fayaz Ahmad, a resident of Bihar, and his local accomplice Mohammad Liaqat of Vijaypur were intercepted by a police party during checking at Thalori village, they said.

A case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act was registered against them, they added.
