Two persons including a minor boy were killed and two others were seriously injured when crackers being manufactured illegally exploded in Dakshin 24 Parganas district today, a police officer said.
The incident occurred at an abandoned house at Magrahat, Superintendent of Police of Diamond Harbour police district Koteswar Rao said.
Samanta Middye (37) who was manufacturing the crackers, and Mriganka Naskar (11) who was watching the process, died on the spot, Rao said.
Two injured persons were admitted at Diamond Harbour hospital and their condition was stated to be serious.
