Two Rhodium plated gold wires valued at Rs 18 lakh were seized by customs officials from the baggage of a passenger, who arrived here from Sharjah this morning.
The wires, weighing 700 grams, were found concealed in the trolley bag of the passenger who arrived here by an Air Arabia flight early today, customs officials said.
The Gold Assayer after detailed examination, certified that the wires were of 24 carat purity and valued at Rs 18 lakh, they said.
