20 sovereigns of jewels missing from DMK MP's house

Twenty sovereigns of gold jewellery were found missing from the residence of DMK Rajya Sabha member N Siva here, police said today.

Siva and his wife had gone to Delhi leaving their son and a 25-year old servant, hailing from Jharkhand, and returned yesterday when they found the jewels missing.

On suspicion, they had questioned the servant employed in the house for the past three months. Following this, the man was absconding since this morning, according to a complaint lodged by Siva with police.

Police said they were investigating.
