21 kg of unaccounted gold was today
seized from a car here, police said.
They said the car was intercepted during a routine vehicle check in Mylapore area.
The owner did not have relevant documents, following which the yellow metal was seized and an FIR registered, they said.
In another incident, customs officials at the Airport here arrested a 32-year-old Singapore-bound man for carrying one kg gold in his baggage.
Mohammed Yusuf was nabbed during a security check after officials grew suspicious over his movements. He was quizzed and the gold concealed in his baggage seized, they said.
