27 people arrested for gambling; Rs 5 lakh cash seized
Twenty seven people were arrested from the house of a BJP leader in Shamli district for gambling and cash worth Rs 5 lakh was seized from their possession, police said Monday.
The house of the local BJP leader was raided on Sunday following which 27 people were found gambling, SHO Dharmendra Singh said.
The matter is being investigated, he added.
