29 file nominations in Kerala

A total of 29 candidates filed their nominations Tuesday for the April 23 Lok Sabha elections from Kerala.

Those who filed their papers included two-time MP from Palakkad, CPI(M)'s M B Rajesh, who is aiming for a hat-trick of wins, senior BJP leaders C K Padmanabhan, A N Radhakrishnan and Shobha Surendran.

While Padmanabhan will be fighting the polls from Kannur constituency, Radhakrishnan and Surendran will be contesting from Chalakkudy and Attingal constituencies respectively.

A poll official told PTI that 29 candidates, including two women, filed the nominations.

A total of 113 candidates have filed their nomination till now, the official added.

The last date for filing nominations is April 4.
