29 quarantined in Madhya Pradesh test negative for COVID-19

At least 29 persons, who were
quarantined for suspected exposure to the novel coronavirus (Covid-19), have tested negative for the infection in Madhya Pradesh, a senior official said on Wednesday.
As many as 11,685 persons with travel history to coronavirus-affected countries have been screened in the state, additional director of the health department Dr Veena Sinha said.
Of these, 510 persons are under home quarantine at present, while the 14-day observation period of 375 others has come to an end, she said.
Swab samples of 41 quarantined individuals were sent to laboratories for testing, the official said.
"The reports of 29 persons have come out negative, while the results of the remaining 12 are awaited," Sinha added.
Madhya Pradesh has not recorded a single positive case of coronavirus so far.
