3 die of asphyxiation in Telangana

: Three persons died apparently of asphyxiation in a well in Komaram Bheem Asifabad district of Telangana on Wednesday, police said.

The incident occurred when one person entered the 35-foot deepwell to repair a motor and collapsed, the police said.

Seeing this, another worker got in, but he too fell unconscious and the third worker then entered the well to rescue the two. In a matter of five minutes, all the three died, a police official told PTI.

Following the incident, locals informed the police who recovered the bodies and sent them for a postmortem.

The deceased were in the age group of 19-25, the official said.
