: Three persons were electrocuted at two different places in Tuticorin and Madurai districts today, police said.
They said Kalyani (40)and Sudalai(28) were killed on the spot when the pipe they were lifting from a borewell while attending to electric motor work came in contact with an overhead live wire at Vijayanur near Sathankulam in Tuticorin district.
At Pazhayur Patti near Melur in this district a 60-year-old man was electrocuted when a live wire snapped and fell on a tap from which he was drinking water.
