3 Haryana teachers suspended for not providing mid-day meals

Three head teachers of schools in Haryana's Fatehabad district have been suspended for allegedly not providing mid-day meals to students and show cause notices have been issued to two others for similar reason.

"Recently about 12 teams of education department conducted surprise checks of mid-day meals provided in different schools and it was found that no meals were cooked in primary schools of Chandokalan, Dhani Dhand and Tamaspura villages," a spokesman of the education department said today.

Head teachers Sudesh Pal of Government Primary School, Chandokalan and Ashok Kumar of Government Primary School, Dhani Dhand and teacher in-charge Ramesh Kumar of Government Primary School, Tamaspura have been suspended, he said.
 

Show cause notices have been issued to Drawing and Disbursing Officer of Government Senior Secondary School, Dhand, Subhash Monga and in-charge of Government High School, Bhodia Khera, Jagatpal, the spokesman added.
