3 held for stealing cows

Three persons were arrested on the

charge of stealing as many cows from in and around Andipatti in Theni district, and cattle seized when they were being transported for sale in the weekly market today.

Police, engaged in vehicle checking, stopped a mini van carrying three cows and interrogated the driver, when he said the cows had been stolen from Andipatti surroundings.

Based on this, police arrested three persons who had stolen the cows with the intention to sell them in 'shandies' in Tiruchirappalli or Thanjavur.
