Three Sri Lankan Tamil refugees were arrested when they attempted to escape to Sri Lanka, police said today.
Two men and a woman, who were staying in the refugees camp in nearby Mandapam, were trying to flee to the island nation when they were held, police added.
The refugees had come to Tamil Nadu years ago when the ethnic conflict was on in the island nation.
