3 timber smugglers held in Kashmir, slapped with PSA

Three alleged timber smugglers were arrested and booked under the stringent Public Safety Act (PSA) in Shopian district of south Kashmir today, a police spokesman said.

Three "notorious" timber smugglers - Shafi Ladi of Nasserpora, Reyaz Paswal and Sajad Paswal of Shalidar-Keller - were arrested during separate raids in Shopian district and booked under PSA, he said.

He said the trio, who were allegedly involved in 10 cases of timber smuggling, were sent to Kot Bhalwal Jail in Jammu.
