The state information commissioner has slapped a fine of Rs 25000 each on two senior officials in Saharanpur and one in Shamli district for not providing information under RTI Act.
UP Information commissioner Hafiz Usman, while interacting with media today said three officials including a Chief Medical Officer and SP (Rural) of Saharanpur and Additional District Magistrate Bharat Pandey (Shamli) have been fined.
They have not appeared before the commission yet, he said.

Usman said that out of 62 cases regarding disclosure of information under RTI Act, 33 have been solved in the district so far.
He said that he has decided to hear cases under RTI in Muzaffarnagar, Shamli, Saharanpur and Amroha districts to prevent people from going to Lucknow.
