A three-year-old boy was allegedly mowed down by the car of a school principal when he was resevering his car in Nand Nagari area in North East Delhi.
The accused, identified as Jai Prakash, who was a principal of St Mary's Public school in the area has beenarrested by the police.
The incident took place around 10 AM yesterday when the child, identified as Varun was playing outside his residence.

"Prakash, who is principal of a private school located right in front of Varun's house, reversed his car without checking that the kid was playing behind it and crushed him under the vehicle," said a police official.
Varun was the son of one Umesh, a small-time businessman who was getting ready to go out for work while his wife was busy with her daily chores.
As the couple heard the commotion, they ran out only to see that their child has been mowed down by a car.
Varun was rushed to a nearby clinic where the doctor said that he should be taken to a hospital.
He was taken to Guru Tegh Bahadur hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. The police was informed as well.
A case under IPC sections 279 and 304A was registered at Nand Nagri police station and the accused was arrested by the police. Further investigations are underway.
