30 injured as bus falls into 50-foot gorge

Thirty passengers sustained injuries, four of them seriously, when the Tamil Nadu government bus fell into a 50-foot deep gorge at Kanneri Mandhnai, about 40 Kms from here today, police said.

All the injured were admitted to government hospital here, of which four have been taken to Coimbatore for further treatment.

The passengers were returning to their native place after attending a marriage in the hired bus, when the mishap occured, they said.
