4 Taliban militants killed in Lahore encounter

Pakistani security officials today killed four Taliban militants in Lahore, the capital of Punjab province.

The Counter Terrorism Department and the Punjab police shot dead the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan militants in an hours-long encounter.

The CTD said in a statement that the militants were planning to attack police personnel in Lahore.

Kalashnikov rifles, explosives and ammunition were recovered from the site of the encounter.
