Four women of a family were allegedly assaulted by a group of drunk men in GTB Enclave area of North-East Delhi after an altercation over parking.

The incident took place around 9:30 PM last evening when a young woman along with her mother, aunt and minor sister were parking their car on the main road near the chemist shop owned by one of the accused Vijender, police said.

Vijender, along with his friends Pankaj and Yogesh, allegedly in an inebriated state asked the women not to park their vehicle at the spot, which led to an ugly spat.

The accused allegedly made obscene gestures at them and also abused and threatened them.

According to the sister of the young woman, she along with other women of her family had gone there for shopping.

"They dragged my sister holding by her hair so badly that they uprooted a bunch of them," she said.

The accused allegedly manhandled and pushed the two elderly women and also slapped the minor girl.

A case under relevant sections of the IPC has been registered at the GTB Enclave police station.
