4-year-old allegedly sexually assaulted

A four-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by an unidentified person in Naraina area of South West Delhi, said police today.

According to police, the victim is in critical condition and recuperating at Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital. Her family alleged that when the girl was playing outside on Sunday evening, an unidentified person took her to an isolated place on the pretext of giving her some eatable and sexually assaulted her.

An FIR has been filed on the basis of the allegation made by family members of the victim, said police.

The victim's family said the child returned home crying, while her clothes were torn.
 

"The accused is yet to be identified and efforts are on to nab him," said police.
