5 Mali soldiers killed in attack on military camp: army

Five Malian soldiers were killed and eight wounded today in an attack on a military camp in the north, the army said.

Nine vehicles were also destroyed in the attack on the camp at Bintagoungou at about 5:00 AM, an army statement said.

Local sources had told AFP earlier today that two soldiers had been killed and several were missing.
