At least 50 children today fell sick after having food at Rajkiya Middle School at Tamra in Simdega district.
Block Development Officer Bandhan Laung said, "More than 50 children started vomiting after eating food in the school. All of them have been admitted to sadar hospital."
Civil Surgeon B Minz is supervising the treatment of the patients.
The children had lunch in the school as part Teachers' Day celebration and it is being suspected that the sweet item ('boondi') was stale.
