6 awarded life term for murder

Six persons, including three brothers, were today sentenced to life imprisonment and asked to pay a penalty of Rs 20,000 each by a local court here in a murder case.

A case had been lodged against Nazim, his brothers Habib, Raees and three others Rashid, Rafeeq and Mahroof in the murder of one Tasleem in July 2002 over some minor dispute at Kamlale crossing, the prosecution said.

After hearing both the sides, Additional District Judge Yogesh Kumar Tripathi held all the six accused guilty of murder.
