Six people died and as many injured when a van rammed into a truck in Uttar Pradesh's Jaunpur district on Wednesday, police said.
The incident occurred near Kursana village in Kerakat town when a sand-laden truck lost control and hit a pole, and the van also rammed into it from rear side, the police said.
The deceased have been identified as Suraj (22), Indu Devi (40), Satyendra Pal (34), Anita Devi (32), Anita (35), while one person is yet to be identified, the police said.
The injured have been rushed to hospital where their condition was stated to be stable.
