6 mauled by jackals in Howrah

Six persons were injured in attack by jackals in Udayanarayanpur of Howrah district in past few days, police sources said.

The six were mauled by the jackals while going out of their homes after dusk and attended at local hospital.

Forest officials went to the area today with cage to trap the animals who are considered extinct in the urban pockets.
