6-year-old's killer gets lifer

A district court here today sentenced a man to life imprisonment for the abduction and murder of a six-year-old boy Mehram Sandhu in October 2014.

Additional District and Session Judge Tarsem Mangla held 26-year-old Tejinder Singh, who was a neighbour of the victim's family, guilty of kidnapping and murdering the child.

Singh was sentenced to life imprisonment till natural death and also fined Rs 17,000 by the judge.
