7 held with banned currency notes in UP
Seven people were arrested with demonetised notes of Rs 1,000 and Rs 500 in Uttar Pradesh's Basti district, police said today.
They were arrested near a school in Karanpur village. The notes had a face value of Rs 1.11 crore, they said.
The matter is being probed, police added.
