7 killed in road accidents in TN

Seven persons have been killed in separate road accidents across the state, police said today.

Three of a family were killed near Vellore when the rider of their two-wheeler lost control and it hit a wall last night. They were thrown off in the impact and died on the spot, police said.

In a similar accident near Tindivanam, three labourers were killed when a vehicle hit their two-wheeler. They were declared brought dead at a local hospital, police added.

A 24-year-old woman from Chennai was killed near Tiruttani in a mishap involving a government bus early this morning.

The driver of the Chennai-bound bus from Tirupathi lost control and the woman sitting nearby was thrown off and came under the wheels. She died on the spot, police added.
