7-yr-old girl raped in Bathinda, accused arrested

A seven-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her neighbour at Malkana village in Talwandi Sabo here, the police said today.

The victim's father, in his complaint, said Bheema Singh (22), a neighbour and a local shopkeeper, raped his daughter, they said.

The police said the accused, took the girl to his place after finding out that her parents were not around.

The girl's parents came to know about the incident when she returned home bleeding. She has been admitted to a local civil hospital, they said.

"We have arrested Bheema Singh and a rape case has been registered against him," Bathinda DSP (Talwandi Sabo), Barinder Singh said.
