70 cartons of liquor seized; 1 arrested

One person was arrested and 70 cartons of liquor was seized from a vehicle in Kotwali Aliganj area here, police said today.

A police party yesterday intercepted a vehicle and seized 70 cartons of liquor. The accused, identified as Satish hailing from Badaria village, was later challaned under the Excise Act, police said.

The accused confessed his involvement in the crime and said that he was doing this business for a long time, they said.
